Gillingham have yet to receive a firm enquiry regarding their star striker Simeon Jackson, according to manager Mark Stimson.

Jackson has hit 13 goals for the Gills so far and finished top scorer last season with 21.

Several clubs are monitoring his progress, with Championship team QPR thought to be among those keeping tabs on Gillingham’s No.1 asset. The transfer window opens on January 1 and many are expecting the 22-year-old to leave.

Stimson said: "There is so much speculation. Everyone is assuming and expecting him to go but we’ve had nothing solid whatsoever.

"Maybe teams aren’t bothering to ring up, they are just going to come in and put something down on the table.

"If that does happen it will be down to the chairman to decide whether it’s beneficial to the club."
