Well, that's Christmas and New Year done and dusted for another year. I hope you had a great time, and got some super pressies.
My wife Donna sorted out a wonderful surprise for me and that was to meet up with my mum on New Year's Day. I've not seen my mum for almost 10 years - bad son that I am!
So many listeners said to me: "This Christmas really did seem like Christmas." Could that be because of all the snow and cold weather? In Sandwich, where I live, it's been just like a scene from a Christmas card.
One thought about the weather forecasters, did they not say last summer was going to be a BBQ one, and it turned out to be a washout? This winter was supposed to be mild, and now it's the coldest here in Thanet for 30 years. My dad could tell the weather from what the seaweed was doing, and to be honest, he got it right more times than the Met office! Give them seaweed, not expensive computers, is what I say. We have enough on the beaches. Seaweed that is.
If, like me, you put on a few pounds, don't forget to keep listening to my breakfast show on kmfm 107.2. Together we can walk to win. Over the next few months I'll be telling you about some fantastic walks around the scenic countryside and beaches of Thanet.
Keep an ear out for kmfm this year - we have loads of great things planned and will be out and about in your area.
Listen to Johnny Lewis on kmfm 107.2 Monday to Saturday from 6-10am and on Sunday with Vinyl Years - hits from the 60s and 70s - from 7-10pm.
