This year I have been tripping the light fantastic all the way to a record.
That's it - I have turned on more festive illuminations this year than ever before - and I love it.
It really brings home to you that Christmas is just around the corner - although that does make you think that it's about time to start making some present lists now instead of leaving it to the last minute.
Some listeners call and tell me they have already got all their Christmas shopping done. What! I think leaving it to the final few days before December 25 gives you a sort of edge - well, maybe Christmas Eve is a little late to do it all but you get my drift.
As I was saying before I interrupted myself, the festive illuminations that I have seen so far have been great and the events have had a terrific community feel.
So far I have done the honours at Westwood Cross, Dover and Deal, and this Friday I am at Margate's big procession and switch on after opening the Christmas Fair at Birchington primary. Then on Saturday I am off to Westgate to help light up the town followed by Broadstairs on Sunday. That will be six sets of festive illuminations switched on this year - next year I am hoping to beat that record.
On Saturday, December 12, I will be judging the festive window display at shops in Broadstairs and St Peter's for the chamber of commerce. The standard is always high and I am looking forward to seeing the creative offerings on show.
So that just leaves me one set of lights to switch on before Christmas Day and it's my favourite one - my own.
And don't forget, Santa Lewis is on air on Christmas Day from 6am to 10am so email me any messages and I will do my best to read them out.
