This is getting frustrating. Everyone enjoys the novelty of some snow for a day or two but this is ridiculous!

We are desperate to get back out there and put some more points on the board. Hopefully this weekend will see football and the whole country get back to normal.

It’s been difficult to train and even get into the ground but we have managed to get a lot of hard work in over this snowy period.

We’ve had more than a couple of fitness sessions with Danny Ellis, which is important when there are no matches to keep the fitness
tip-top. Dan has made sure we are still in good shape for when our games start again.

We have also trained at Spurs, in their indoor dome, which again was a tough, quality session not just in the football work but also in the physical stuff we did.

There have obviously been a few flying snowballs. I managed to pepper Tommy Wynter’s car a week or so back and no one has been near me since. Word must have got around that I’m the snowball hatchetman!

I wish my car buddy AJ (Alan Julian) was as good as me in the snow, though. He managed to do more damage to his car than both mine and Mark Bentley’s are worth and he was only doing about five miles per hour. It’s brought him down to earth though as he’s having to drive his grandad’s Renault Megane!

Hopefully, the Swindon game this week will go-ahead. It’s a tough fixture with them sitting in the top six and, let’s not forget, they will still be hurting from the 5-0 thrashing we gave them on the opening day.

Nevertheless, we are going into the game after a hard earned away point at Exeter and if we show the same work rate and desire, and add a little bit of composure to our finishing, we can definitely get something.

fter Swindon we will hopefully finally get the chance to compete for a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup against Fulham.

The Accrington match on Tuesday will be a similar game to when we played them last year.

It’s a difficult pitch and they’re a hard working, determined side. Hopefully we can come away with the same result we did last season and set-up another great Saturday at Priestfield.

With all these cancelled games, we will have a few Tuesday night matches to look forward to but that’s how we like it. Games on Saturday and Tuesday give us the chance to put results together and pick up points.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a bit of warmth and the disappearance of the snow so we can get going.
