Vote for me! That is the rallying cry from glamour model Odette Estelle who is through to the southern regional finals of the Miss Student UK contest and the chance to win a £10,000 first prize.
The 19-year-old, who is on a business studies course at Canterbury Christ Church University, is anxious to get more votes to try and hit the front in the nationwide contest.
Odette, of St Andrew’s Close, says that if she wins, she will divide her prize money between the Nicole Dryburgh’s Silver Lining Appeal and the Dogs as Therapy charity.
She is now working hard to promote herself by setting up her own Facebook profile and organising a rally with her friends in Canterbury.
She said: “It’s all about how much effort you put into it and how creative you can be. “It will be great for both charities if I can win and I hope that will give people the incentive to back me.”
