Kent-born Olympic gold medallist Jamie Staff will be riding high when he visits his home town with some of his US Olympic cycling team riders today.
Jamie achieved national fame for his gold medal-winning performance at the 2008 Beijing Games.
Now he is hoping to coach the American cycling team to Olympic glory at London 2012 this summer.
Members of the USA cycling team will be joining him for a visit to Ashford, offering the chance for cycling enthusiasts to meet and greet the American Olympians.
The group will arrive at Ashford International Station on the high-speed train from London and will enjoy a ride through the Kent countryside before making their way to the town's Julie Rose stadium.
Although Jamie, a former North School pupil, has been spending much of his time in the US while he coaches their team, his wife Malia and twins Theodore and Grace live in Smeeth.
His parents, Christine and Alan, still live in Brabourne, where Jamie grew up.
There will be free fun cycling activities on the Julie Rose track between 1pm and 3pm including the chance to race an Olympian, try out a clown bike and take the spin challenge.
Anyone arriving at the stadium on a bike will be treated to a free bike check.
