The Olympic Torch route through Gravesham has been changed amid fears the convoy could put too much stress on old, weak bridges.
The original plan, already widely publicised, was to use Wellington Street to get to the Gurdwara and return via the Grove.
But the route has now been slightly amended to avoid weakened bridges over the railway line.
The torch relay will now go along Milton Road, past the Clock Tower and turn left into Edwin Street, then left again into Saddington Street and on to the Gurdwara for a photocall.
It will then return along Saddington Street turning right into The Grove and down to the Clock Tower for a second time, turning left along Milton Road and then through the town centre.
The decision was made this week between Gravesham council, Kent Highways, Network Rail and the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG) after it was agreed that the convoy of vehicles which accompanies the relay was too heavy for railway bridges in Wellington Street and Peacock Street.
LOCOG set the original route before the weight of the vehicles was known.
