A series of free events is taking place across Kent and up and down the country to get us excited about the London Olympics.
It is exactly three years to the opening ceremony of the games this week so an Open Weekend is being held to celebrate not just sporting activities but cultural ones too.
Just some of the highlights in Kent include the chance to try your hand at a new sport like Boccia in Sevenoaks, go behind the scenes at Chatham Central Theatre or watch live music in Brenchley Gardens in Maidstone.
Many of the events are free and Kent is believed to have more events going on than any other area of the UK.
Kent County Council cabinet member for community services, Mike Hill said: “The Olympic games is a wonderful opportunity not only to maximise the benefits of the games coming to London in terms of business and all the rest of it but also particularly to enthuse people with the Olympic ideals, enthuse them with an enthusiasm for sport and for culture and I think this is part of that journey.”
