MORE than six million people in Britain admit to driving their car without an MOT, according to new research.
The survey, carried out by Kwik-Fit, shows that 24 per cent of motorists say they forgot the renewal date for their car. Nearly a third of those people took up to a month to realise and 19 per cent have been overdue for more than a month.
Often, the first time someone realises their MoT is due is when they receive a reminder that their road tax is about to expire.
Further results reveal that 3.5 million motorists have also forgotten to renew their road tax. Another 800,000 motorists have failed to re-insure their car on time.
