A person was taken to hospital after a second crash within an hour on the same stretch of M25 earlier today.

The first crash at around 11.05am saw a vehicle hit the central reservation on the clockwise carriageway between junctions 4 and 5.

Lanes one and two were blocked, but there were no injuries.

But at around 11.45am a Volkswagen Golf and an Astra crashed in the same area.

A person was taken to hospital with apparently serious injuries and the M25 clockwise was closed from junction 4. All lanes were fully reopened by about 1.45pm.
