An overturned car has been causing delays for commuters on the M2 this morning.

The vehicle closed one lane of the coastbound section of the motorway just before 6.30am.

It happened between junction three for Blue Bell Hill and junction four for Hempstead.

Normal traffic conditions were expected from 8.45am.

The male driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
