A woman has been taken to hospital after her car overturned yesterday.

The female motorist was reported to be trapped in a crashed car, on the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A249 Detling Hill, but was free by the time Kent Fire and Rescue arrived.

The crash happened at about 5pm.

The patient was taken to Maidstone Hospital as a precaution by South East Coast Ambulance.

It is not yet know what cause of the accident.

The scene, near the Shukraya Indian restaurant, has been cleared.
