Two men have appeared in court accused in connection with an alleged assault on a Kent Police dog handler.
The alleged incident occurred at about 1.45pm on Wednesday outside a car sales and car valet yard in Rochester Road, Cuxton, near Rochester.
Joby Wilson, 35, of Cranwell Road, Tunbridge Wells, is charged with wounding with intent, obstructing a constable in the execution of duty, driving while disqualified, and using a vehicle without insurance. He was remanded in custody by Medway magistrates on Friday.
Anthony Bishop, 37, of Rochester Road, Cuxton, is accused of wounding with intent. He was released on conditional bail.
The case against the pair was adjourned. A date for the next hearing at Maidstone Crown Court has yet to be set. Neither entered a plea.
Two other people who were arrested in connection with the incident - a man and a woman both from Rochester - have been bailed pending further inquiries.
