POLICE in Thanet are investigating after the body of a baby was found concealed at a house in St Peters near Broadstairs.

Officers were called to Prince Charles Road yesterday afternoon. A man and a woman were arrested at the scene and are in police custody.

It is understood the body was discovered in an outbuilding by a member of the public.

A post mortem is due to be carried out this afternoon. It is not yet known how old the child was or whether it was a boy or girl.
