Thirty firefighters were called to a paper mill in Northfleet after it caught fire this morning.

Six crews attended Kimberly-Clark, a three storey factory based in Crete Hall Road, at 6.33am and were battling the blaze for more than two hours.

One man, who is believed to have tried to put the second floor fire out himself, was treated for smoke inhalation.

Around 25 office staff were spotted standing outside the factory, which makes toilet roll and kitchen roll, around 9am.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but it is not believed to be suspicious.
