Parts of Kent have been hit by brief flurries of snow as temperatures in the county dropped below zero.

Callers to our radio station kmfm this morning reported brief snowfall in areas of north Kent, including Dartford and West Kingsdown.

A light shower fell in Maidstone, lasting around half an hour.

Temperatures are forecast to fall further later this week, with the Met Office predicting more wintry showers over the weekend, before brighter spells on Monday.
