Fans of ITV programme Show Me The Funny can see winner Patrick Monahan on the show’s live tour.
After a six-week battle between 10 comic hopefuls, Patrick walked away with the £100,000 prize and his own nationwide tour after winning the live final at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
On the show, hosted by Jason Manford, comedians had to impress a panel of judges including University of Kent graduate Alan Davies, Ross Noble, Jo Brand, Johnny Vegas, Kate Copstick and Jimmy Tarbuck. Taking in 12 cities over two weeks, the tour reaches Canterbury’s Gulbenkian Theatre on Thursday, September 22.
Patrick said: “I’m really looking forward to doing the tour show so that I can get to see the audience that watched and voted for me on the Show Me The Funny TV show. I can return the favour by giving them a comedy show and a free cuddle afterwards.”
At the Gulbenkian Patrick will be joined by fellow finalists Dan Mitchell and Tiffany Stevenson. Dan, a former undertaker, was credited with having “funny bones” by Show Me The Funny judge and feared comedy critic Kate Copstick. His humour is based on observational-style comedy and social satire and he has a brash tone and effervescent vocabulary.
Seasoned comedian Tiffany runs her own comedy night in London, and her experienced delivery and self-deprecating humour proved a big hit with the audience and judges throughout the series.
