PC GUY MILLER: remains in intensive care

A KENT police officer remains critically ill in hospital three weeks after being struck down by his own patrol car following an incident at Kings Hill, near West Malling.

PC Guy Miller, 33, based at Kent Police traffic headquarters in Coldharbour, Aylesford, spent Christmas on an intensive care ward at Maidstone Hospital.

A Kent Police spokeswoman said the married father-of-four remained in a critical but stable condition.

Ricky Hales, 19, from Deptford, South East London, has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at the end of a chase along the M20 on Wednesday, December 10.

Mr Hales has also been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and causing grevious bodily harm to PC Miller.

Detectives still want to speak to another man in connection with the incident whose image was captured on CCTV cameras at West Malling railway station shortly after being dropped off by a taxi.

The young man, who caught a London bound train on the same Wednesday afternoon, was seen wearing a red top and dark trousers.

Anyone with information is asked to telephone call the police incident room on 01622 608088 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555
