Musician Jools Holland arrives at the wedding of Peaches Geldof and Tom Cohen in Davington
by Lauren Fruen
Sir Bob Geldof has revealed details about his daughter Peaches' highly-secretive wedding in the Kent village where she was brought up.
The 23-year-old tied the knot with rocker Tom Cohen in St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence Church in picturesque Davington, near Faversham, on Saturday.
Details of the service and reception in the grounds of Peaches' childhood home have been a closely-guarded secret as the couple signed an exclusive magazine deal for coverage.
But Sir Bob, the 60-year-old former Boomtown Rats frontman, revealed to KentOnline how all Peaches' sisters were bridesmaids - and guests were dancing until 1am on the "perfect" day.
He said: "We have been here in Davington for 30 years now and Peaches was bought up here so this is home. It was a great day. All of her sisters were bridesmaids.
"Peaches and Tom both visit here a lot and they both had a great day, which is the main thing. The church is just next door and this is where we associate our summers and Christmases as a family.
"We had family from Ireland and France here. We also invited neighbours and mates and we were dancing until one in the morning. It was perfect."
The wedding of Peaches and Tom was attended by a small congregation in the 12th century church.
Celebrity guests were rumoured to have secretely entered the church as the only well-known guest spotted outside was musician Jools Holland, who lives in Cooling.
The service was followed by a party in the grounds of Davington Priory - the mansion where Sir Bob still lives.
A white marquee in the gardens of the family home was filled with hops – a nod to the Kentish hops of the bride's home county.
Peaches' sister Tiger Lily gave a reading at the service, which was conducted by the Reverend Alison Duguid, from Marden parish church.
It was the same church where the marriage of Peaches' late mum Paula Yates and Sir Bob was blessed in 1986. Paula's funeral was also held at the parish church in 2000.

Peaches has a five-month-old son, Astala, with 20-year-old Tom, vocalist in the band S.C.U.M.
It is her second wedding, after marrying American singer Max Drummey in Las Vegas in 2008.
Peaches was brought up by Sir Bob along with her sisters Pixie, Fifi and Tiger Lily after their mother Paula died from a heroin overdose in 2000.
