A 21-YEAR-OLD pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Cliffe Road, Strood, at about 11pm last night.

The man has not so far been named, but is believed to have lived locally. Medway coroner's officer, Jan Sutton, said the victim was due to be identified by next of kin today.

A post mortem examination is due on Tuesday and an inquest is expected to open later that day.
