A 91-year-old man who died in hospital after being struck by a car while crossing the road has been named by police.

He was Nelson Waugh, who lived at Bedford Road, Northfleet. The collision happened on August 4 in Earl Road, Northfleet.

Police officers from Kent’s serious collision investigation unit are investigating the incident. The car involved was a silver Daewoo Lanos.
