A MAN who suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car is recovering well at home.
Police continue to appeal for witnesses following the serious road traffic accident in Birchington last Monday at 5.26pm.
The 31-year-old man from the area was crossing the A28 Canterbury Road after getting out of a parked works van when he was hit by a passing Vauxhall Corsa being driven by a local man, aged 19.
The vehicle was travelling from the direction of Westgate towards Herne Bay.
The pedestrian suffered very serious head and leg injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital at Margate where his condition was initially described as life-threatening.
He is now back home and is make a good recovery.
The driver of the Vauxhall and his female passenger were shocked but not seriously injured.
Inquiries continue to establish the cause of the collision and police are appealing for witnesses to make contact on 01622 798538.
