Witness plea
POLICE are appealing for information after a young woman was indecently assaulted in Wincheap.
The 20-year-old was walking home from a nightclub along the A28 in the early hours of yesterday (Wednesday) when the attack happened.
She was walking ahead of her friends, so they did not witness the assault.
The suspect is described as a 5ft 4in Eastern European male, aged about 30, with blond, spiky hair. He was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone who can help police should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
Pesticide ban
CHEMICALS recently banned by the Government can be safely disposed of at the Vauxhall Road recycling centre in Canterbury.
The Department of Food and Rural Affairs banned 80 garden pesticides, which can no longer be bought, but, if owned already, can be used until the end of this year.
Under no circumstances should the pesticides be thrown away in rubbish or poured down a drain or toilet as this may cause environmental harm.
