Pensioner dies after crash in Princes Road, Dartford

A pensioner who died following a road crash in Dartford has been named.

Patricia Parkinson, of Arnold's Lane, Sutton-at-Hone, died two weeks after the crash in Princes Road.

The 79-year-old, who was a passenger in a Vauxhall Corsa, was involved in collision with a silver Peugeot at about 10.50am on Friday, August 20.

She was originally only treated for minor injuries, but her condition deteriorated and she died in Darent Valley Hospital on Monday, September 6.

Results of a post mortem indicate she died from pneumonia and head injuries.

A woman and two children travelling in the other car were not injured.

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash. PC Chris Oliver-Jones, of the serious crash investigation unit said: "This was at the time considered to be a minor collision with minor injuries.

"I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has information which may help us with our inquiries to get in touch."
