Hundreds of people turned out to see the Mysterious Girl star at this year's Castle Concerts.

After the gig, he posted on Twitter: "Wow wow wow. Just sold out Rochester Castle and we rocked it. Thank you so much."

Andre, who is Celebrity Dad of the Year, first achieved chart success in 1996. Since then he has had four top 10 UK albums and 10 top 10 singles.

Tonight it's the turn of hip-hop superstars N-Dubz to take to the Rochester Castle stage and tomorrow the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will lead the Castle Proms.

Tickets for these concerts are available by calling in person at The Central Theatre or The Brook Theatre box offices in Chatham, Medway Visitor Information Centre, 95 High Street, Rochester, by phone on 01634 338338 or online at www.castleconcerts.co.uk.

Meanwhile, young people from all over Medway are set to storm the Castle Concerts stage on Sunday.

Under Seige, a free concert open to the whole community, gives performers the chance to show off their skills on the stage.

The line-up this year covers everything from alternative rock to musical theatre, and includes performers from Chatham Grammar School for Girls - the band Dumb Angel - MidKent College and Greenacre School.

Pupils from the Hundred of Hoo School will be on stage in the band End of Innocence. Gates open at noon with acts appearing from 1pm to 3.30pm.
