A woman denied murdering her sister when she appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today.

Phoebe Barton, of Highland Road, Chartham, was remanded in custody and will stand trial on November 29.

The grey-haired 49-year-old was arrested after the body of Karen Barton, 51, also of Highland Road, was found in an area known as Pickett's Field in the village.

The alleged murdered was committed between May 7 and 10.
