A young woman had to be freed from the wreckage of her car following a crash on the A228 near Hoo.

Kent Air Ambulance was scrambled to the scene but the 23-year-old woman is not thought to have suffered serious injuries and was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital by land ambulance.

The crash happened shortly after 4pm Saturday close to the roundabout at Ropers Lane.
