Medway's Table Tennis Centre has been shortlisted for a National Lottery Award - and you could help.
The specialist centre at the Howard School in Rainham is the only one of its kind in the area and needs support to stay in the running to win the award.
Projects across Britain are battling it out to get a spot in the finals to earn themselves a £2,000 cash boost from the National Lottery awards scheme.
The centre has reached the semi-finals of the awards scheme and if successful, will be featured in a special primetime BBC1 TV show.
Medway people are being urged to show their support as their vote could make all the difference to the centre, recently named as a training camp for the 2012 London Olympics.
Three young players who use the centre are now listed among the top 10 in the country.
Steve Waud, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement to have reached the semi-finals and now we need all our supporters to get behind us and vote.
"Without Lottery funding our project wouldn’t exist, so it’s great for us to be recognised in this way.”
Public voting for the semi-finals started at 9am on Monday morning and ends at noon on Friday, July 4.
