Fashionistas descended on Bluewater to be the first to bag a piece of Pixie Lott’s new clothing range.
About 100 fans queued for hours to get a glimpse of the popstar as she launched her designs at the Greenhithe shopping centre.
The 19-year-old, who was born in Bromley, rose to fame last year with her single Mama Do which went straight to number one.
Now Pixie – real name Victoria Lott – has put her name to a range of women’s clothing at Lipsy, whose Bluewater store is in Upper Thames Walk.
The collection, comprising Pixie Festival and Pixie Party, are said to have been inspired by Pixie’s own rock chick style.
Scores of fans crowded outside the store to get Pixie’s autograph and buy an item from her collection after she cut the pink ribbon last Wednesday.
Some were there for their appreciation of the clothes, including Deven Durrant, 14, from New Ash Green.
Clutching a bag of Pixie’s gear, she said: “I am a big fan of Pixie and I really like the collection.”
But others, such as Dwain Johnson, from Gravesend, had queued for less fashion-conscious reasons.
After meeting Pixie, the 16-year-old said: “If I die now, I would die a happy man.”
Alex Niechoj, 17, from Strood was equally smitten: “I would give anything to be with Pixie Lott – my house, my car keys and my car!”
Daniel Power, 18, from Gravesend, said: “She is such an individual, her style and her music. Her songs have so much meaning.”
He was queuing for an autograph with friend Chris Leighton Cheung, 20, from Canterbury who admitted he was in line because he “wouldn’t give up a chance to see a celebrity”.
