A man is receiving specialist hospital treatment after suffering multiple fractures and facial injuries in an assault.

The attack is thought to have happened some time between the man leaving the Alexandra pub in Railway Street,Chatham at midnight on Monday and arriving at Rochester Street, Chatham at 2.15am on Tuesday.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Gibraltar Hill and Railway Street, Chatham, area at the time to come forward and assist their inquiries.
