A MECHANICAL digger thought to be valued at more than £50,000 has been stolen from a building site in Ramsgate.

Police say the yellow trenching machine was taken from the open site at Southwood Road during the weekend and the theft was discovered on Monday morning.

Anyone who saw the vehicle being taken away or driven off is asked to contact Thanet police, 01843 222033.
