A MAN has been treated for serious stomach injuries after he was stabbed in an argument.
The 31-year-old man from Tonbridge was with a 30-year-old local woman in Clifton Place, Cliftonville, when an argument broke out between the couple and a 48-year-old man.
The younger man was stabbed and made his way to a nearby shop where staff gave first aid and called for help.
He was taken to the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, where he underwent surgery. He was expected to be allowed home towards the end of this week.
The incident took place on Friday at around 12 noon, but details have only just been released.

A 48-year-old man from Trinity Square, Margate was later charged with grievous bodily harm and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and remanded in custody.
