An alleyway off Maidstone High Street has been cordoned off following an allegation of assault.

A police spokesman confirmed forensic tests were being carried out in an area off the High Street, near Beneficial Finance.

The alleged assault happened in the early hours of Monday morning. The cordon was lifted by 11am.
