A stolen 4x4 vehicle was also recovered from the scene, off Chegworth Road, Harrietsham, at around 2.30pm on Monday.

In a separate incident, at around the same time, a Kent Police dog unit was involved in a collision with a 4x4 vehicle in Old House Road, Hartlip.

The dog unit had been helping to search for the stolen machinery when the collision happened. No one was hurt.
