DETECTIVES have released an e-fit picture of a man they want to talk to in connection with an attempted robbery.
An engineer was grabbed at the PHC Service Centre in Rainham High Street and had a knife held to his throat at about 5pm on September 9.
The 27-year-old victim, who lives in Snodland, near Rochester, was at the back of the workshop when he noticed two men in the back yard. He went to talk to them but one walked out of gates leaving the second man to talk to the engineer.
At this point the man grabbed the top of his T-shirt and put a black-handled kitchen knife to his throat.
A spokesman for Medway Police said: "The victim pushed the offender away and then ran into the shop. The offender then left the premises, which services vacuum cleaners, via the back gate and ran in front of the shop along the precinct towards Chatham."
The knifeman is aged about 25 to 30, of small build and about 5ft 7in. He has cropped light brown hair and was wearing a black three-quarter length leather coat with four pockets on the front."
The second man is about 25 to 30, around 5ft 9in tall and of small build with short, blond untidy hair.
