FRESH appeals have been made to trace two men wanted by police in Bexley.
They are made just a week after police issued the first of a series of appeals to find the borough’s most wanted.
James MacCowen-May, 48, was charged with GBH in 2002 but failed to turn up to court in July 2003 and hasn’t been seen since. The public have been warned not to approach him, but it is possible he has been living in Sidcup for the past five years.
Bexley’s police chief, Ch Supt Tony Dawson, said appeals were only now being made because the force already had an excellent record in tracing suspects.
Gary Armitage, 32, from Thamesmead, has twice failed to turn up at court after being charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent.
He was charged in May 2006 in relation to an incident in Abbey Road, Belvedere, on September 25, 2005.
Armitage first skipped bail on July 13, 2006, but officers found him and he went back to court where he was given bail.
However he failed to turn up in court again in February this year.
Keith Baker, 23, also failed to turn up to court on February 13. Last known to live in Erith, he has been charged with conspiring with others to damage property in Slade Green without lawful excuse by means of fire.
The alleged arson took place on November 10, 2006.
If you know the whereabouts of either man call Bexley Police on 020 8301 1212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
