A MOTORCYCLIST killed following a collision with a car on the Thanet Way at the weekend has been identified by Kent Police.

He was 63-year-old Leonard Randall, of Bedford Way, St Nicholas at Wade at Thanet.

The accident happened when his motorcycle was in collision with a Ford car on the coastbound carriageway of the A299 at Reculver at about 11.40am on Saturday. It led to the road being closed for about four hours.

Road collision investigators are still appealing for witnesses. They are particularly keen to speak to the occupants of a red car, possibly a Skoda, which was in the area at the time.
