A MAN and a woman killed in a collision between a car and a bus have been identified by police.

Dean Warren, 36, of Tower Road, Dartford, and Dawn Brooker, 30, of Springfield Road, Welling, died when the Rover they were travelling in was involved in a collision with a double decker night bus, in Park View Road, Welling, last Thursday morning.

It is understood they had been a couple for only a few weeks.

Ms Brooker's friend, Alex Kane, said the dead woman had a three-year-old daughter who was now being looked after by her sister.

It is not clear who was driving the car at the time of the crash.

The bus driver and a passenger were taken to hospital believed to be suffering from shock.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Catford traffic garage are still appealing for witnesses.
