Police name Folkestone stabbing victim as Osman Shazad

The Afghan teenager who died from stab wounds in a fight in Folkestone has been named as Osman Shazad.

Police released his identity this morning.

Officers are still questioning eight people arrested after the mass brawl in Marine Terrace on Monday night which involved around 30 people, all Afghanis aged between 15 and 18.

Of the five treated in hospital, two remain there in a stable condition.

Forensic officers are continuing investigations at a number of scenes in Folkestone and police are carrying out high profile patrols.

Community liaison officers and neighbourhood policing teams are continuing to work with the local community to deal with any issues and tensions that may arise as a result of the incident.
