A mobile police station will be making its way around the Hoo Peninsula this week to keep residents updated on policing arrangements for a protest in August.
The Camp for Action Climate plans to stage a huge rally over plans for a coal-fired power station at Kingsnorth, near Hoo.
The deployment follows two public meetings held between Kent Police and Medway Council representatives about how they and other organisations will be working together to keep disruption to residents and businesses to a minimum.
Residents will be able to visit the mobile police station on the following dates and at the following locations:
* Church Lane car park, Hoo, Monday, June 23 12.30-7.30pm
* Church Lane car park, Hoo, Tuesday, June 24 1230-7.30pm
* Stoke Community School, Allhallows Road, Lower Stoke Wednesday June 25 12.30-7.30pm
* Grain fire station, Chapel Road, Grain Thursday June 26, 12.30 to 7.30pm
* Church Lane car park, Hoo Friday, June 27, 12.30-3.45pm
* High Halstow recreation hall car park, The Street, High Halstow Friday, June 27 4.15pm-7.30pm
