A KENT police press officer suffered a broken collarbone and several journalists were slightly hurt in a road crash.
The incident happened early on Tuesday while they were travelling in an unmarked white minibus being used by police to transport journalists on a special operation.
The van was in collision with a black BMW in Saxton Street, Gillingham. A female press officer was taken to hospital with a fractured collarbone but later allowed home.
Seven journalists sustained shock, cuts and bruising. They were checked out in hospital but later released.
The police driver was shaken up in the accident but otherwise unhurt. The accident is now being investigated.
kmfm reporter Rhona Pinkerton, who was in the minibus, said: "We all ended up in a heap. It was lucky that nobody was very seriously hurt. It could have been so much worse."
