DETECTIVES are investigating allegations of attempted rape of a 14-year-old Cranbrook girl.

The girl alleges she was attacked by a 14-year-old boy at Cranbrook Rugby Club fields in Angley Road on Monday, September 30.

Weald Police spokeswoman Rosy Alexander said that a group of about four Cranbrook youngsters had been hanging around Alldays, in the High Street, when the girl left for the rugby fields with a friend and it was there she alleges she was attacked.
