WASTELAND near a Kent house where the bodies of two teenage girls were found is not to be searched, Kent Police have confirmed.

It was reported that ground-penetrating radar gear would be used to look for more remains in a two-acre spot near 50 Irvine Drive, Margate where officers uncovered the bodies of Dinah McNicol, 18, and Vicky Hamilton, 15 in November.

But Kent Police have called the claims "ridiculous".

They confirmed they have looked at the area after a tip off by a member of the public, but said no further searches will take place.
