A police speeding campaign caught more than 120 motorists - including one clocked doing a staggering 125mph.

The operation ran throughout June and July, with officers targeting the M20, M2 and A2.

Both unmarked and marked motorbikes and cars were used to catch motorists flouting the law by speeding, being anti-social other traffic offences.

It comes as around six people are killed on Kent’s roads each month, with many more seriously injured.

PC Dave Greenwood, from the Central Motorcycle Team, led the operation and said: "Motorists are often in a hurry to get to and from work but this doesn’t excuse careless and dangerous driving.

"Kent Police takes a zero tolerance approach to serious traffic offences and by prosecuting more than 100 people during this operation it shows this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated."

He said those caught risk a fine, driving ban and potentially losing their jobs or a prison sentence.

Drivers could also kill or maim themselves or someone else.
