Police have issued a statement ahead of the World Cup kick-off.
The force has warned there will be an increased presence in "key locations" across Kent, ahead of the first match in Qatar this afternoon.
The opening match – between the host country and Ecuador – is due to kick off at 4pm.
England's first match against Iran will be tomorrow at 1pm.
A number of pubs, bars and event areas across the county will be broadcasting a number of matches in the competition, especially those involving England and Wales.
This includes, among many others, the Folkestone Harbour Arm and Gillingham FC's Priestfield Stadium.

A Kent police spokesman said: "We will have increased patrols in key locations across Kent for the duration of the 2022 World Cup and have been working with pubs, clubs and bars to ensure everyone who wants to can enjoy the football in a safe and responsible manner.
"If you are planning to enjoy the football with a drink during the 2022 World Cup then please do so responsibly and don't drive afterwards.
"We will be on patrol across the county to ensure everyone stays safe and we will not hesitate to act against anyone who puts others at risk."
