Post Office opens inside WHSmith

THE controversial move of Post Office services to WHSmith has been completed.

The main Bromley branch closed last night and reopened inside the high street store at 9am this morning.

It is claimed the move has saved postal services from closing in the borough.

WHSmith's project manager Jon Bunstone said: "There is a natural synergie with our customers.

"The key thing is we've created a good footfall here."

The Post Office's senior accounting manager John Dutton said: "It's gone really, really well.

"Obviously, customers have concerns because people don't like change.

"We're absolutely confident they'll be really pleased with the level of service they receive."
