A pregnant woman has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car this afternoon.

The 28-year-old, who is almost eight months pregnant was hit by a car in Cobham Terrace, Greenhithe, at 12.15pm today.

Police say the injuries are not life threatening but she has suffered abdominal and leg injuries.

She was taken by ambulance to Darent Valley Hospital.

Passing motorists said they have seen an ambulance and three police cars at the scene.
