Gillingham’s promotion to League 1 will hit fans in the pocket as season tickets and matchday prices are on the rise.

Those losing out the most are supporters who decided against buying or renewing their season tickets early, before the Gills completed their League 2 play-off campaign.

Prices had been on hold until Gillingham knew their fate but now they will be playing in a higher league, the prices mirror that fact.

Matchday prices have risen modestly, by £1 in all areas, with adult early purchase tickets costing £20, while matchday prices are at £23. Season ticket holders can still save money by making their renewals before the end of June, as can new season ticket holders.

The full rate comes into affect in July where adult season tickets range from the most expensive at £457 in the KM Medway Stand to £344 in the Gordon Road Stand.

Rainham End season tickets cost £368 (£350 for renewals) and rise to £376 from next month.

Children aged 11 and under can watch the Gills for as little as £50 for a season ticket if they are accompanied with an adult.
