Chef Abdul Roob, who works at the Bengal Brassiere Indian restaurant in Rochester High Street, has been nominated in two categories: community involvement and outstanding achievement.
He was put forward by Steve Evans, of Hilda Road, Chatham.
He said: “Mr Roob has been instrumental in increasing the weekly takings at the restaurant and has also introduced regular charity events. I think this gentleman is worthy of recognition for his dedication to his job and the support he provides to the local community.”
