Scout leader Adrian Waters, of the 1st Gillingham Scout Group, based at St Luke’s Church in Sidney, Road, Gillingham, has been nominated for a community involvement award.

He was put forward by Natalie Cox, 35, of Franklin Road, Gillingham, whose daughter Chantelle has been attending the Scout group for more than three years.

She said: “Adrian is an inspiration. He always goes that extra mile for the children. Nothing is too much trouble.”
